Billy Crystal in ‘When Harry Met Sally’, ‘Spinal Tap’, ‘Get Up, Fall Down’ and Drink Jägerbombs

Also, the status of Pixar’s ‘Monsters at Work’ with John Goodman and his next film, ‘Here Today’, with Tiffany Haddish.

Like someone who grew up watching Billy Crystal in movies and on TV, when I found out that I could talk to him for his recent movie Standing, fallingI jumped when I got the chance. After all, Crystal’s work on The princess Bride, This is Spinal Tap, SNL, City slickers, Analyze this, hosting the Oscars and Comic Relief, and too many things to mention were hugely influential on this boy from the suburbs. I honestly don’t know how many times I’ve seen The princess Bride Y Spinal tap but it is not a healthy number. In addition to his work in front of the camera, he also directed films such as Mr. saturday night, 61 *, Forget about parisand the next Here today with Tiffany haddish. Like I said, I’ve been a fan for a long time.

If you are not familiar with Standing, falling, The movie was directed by Matt ratner and it’s about a live L.A. comedian who struggles (Ben schwartz) who moves back to Long Island and the unlikely friendship he forms with his alcoholic dermatologist (Crystal). While this could easily be a cheesy TV movie of the week, the reason this movie works is the great chemistry between Schwartz and Crystal. Each gives a fantastic performance and it was nice to see Crystal play a dramatic role where a joke won’t get you out of trouble. Definitely recommended. The film also stars Eloise Mumford, Grace gummer, David Castañeda, Kevin DunnY Debra Monk.
