Full trailer for 'Falcon and the Winter Soldier' shows upcoming Marvel Disney + show

Disney + has released a new trailer for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The TV side of the MCU is already alive and well on Disney +, with WandaVision currently in the middle of his career and thrilling fans with each new episode. Falcon and the winter soldier will be next in the Marvel Disney + lineup, featuring Loki, What if…?Y Hawkeye arriving later in the year. Anthony Mackie Y Sebastian Stan star in Falcon and the winter soldier, with supporting cast that includes Daniel Brühl, Emily VanCampY Wyatt russell.

From today Falcon and the winter soldier The trailer is perhaps the most revealing look we have on the new Marvel Disney + show so far. Previously, an exclusive first look was released during Disney Investor Day 2020. That trailer gave us an updated look at Sam Wilson, aka Falcon (Mackie), and Bucky Barnes, aka Winter Soldier (Stan), poking fun at their outfits and Updated weapons as well as their unique brand of witty jokes. However, outside of the promise of a new band of villains and some impressive action sequences, we still didn’t know what to expect from Falcon and the winter soldier. Until now.

This new original series was created by Malcolm Spellman And find Kari Skogland (The Walking Dead) directing all the episodes. After the events of Avengers Endgame, the show finds Mackie’s Falcon and Stan’s Bucky teaming up for … something. The details of his mission remain under wraps, but this trailer gives us a glimpse of Brühl’s return as Baron Zemo from Captain America: Civil War. In that movie, Zemo was just an ordinary citizen with an ax to grind. But in Falcon and the winter soldierIt seems like he’s completely crossing over into Marvel super villain territory, bringing the character more in line with the comics.

I still don’t see Russell as John F. Walker, but I imagine he will play a big role in the series. Walker is a successor to Captain America created by the US government and a series composer. Henry jackman He recently teased that the show would touch on awkward topics like race: In the MCU world, could the US government be uncomfortable with a black Captain America despite Steve Rogers handing Sam the shield ?

In essence, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier looks like a tv version of Captain America: The Winter Soldier with some police friend antics mixed in. That is far from the puzzle box nature of WandaVision, but I’m curious to see how an extended arc of a season set in this more solid world unfolds. A key difference to WandaVision is that this new series consists of six episodes of one hour.
