‘Dungeons & Dragons’ Movie: Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith Join Chris Pine

Chris Pine will star in the fantasy film, which comes from ‘Game Night’ directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein.

Franchise experience. It’s invaluable in Hollywood, where it denotes the ability to deal with hits, because making big-budget movies is nothing more than a series of hits. The latest franchise veterans to join another CG-powered show are Michelle Rodriguez (Fast and Furious) Y Justice Smith (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom), who have agreed to be co-stars alongside Chris pine in a Dungeons and Dragons movie.

Game night helmers John Francis Daley Y Jonathan Goldstein are writing and directing the fantasy film, which is based on an earlier draft of Michael Gilio. Hasbro Brian Goldner is producing together with Jeremy latcham, which has a deal with the company’s eOne label. They are co-financing the D&D film with Paramount, which will distribute the film outside of the UK and Canada.

The plot details for this specific version are kept in a dragon’s lair, but the pitch is said to be a cross between Guardians of the Galaxy and Pirates of the Caribbean. Pine will play the film’s battle-tested hero, while Rodriguez will play a fierce warrior, and Smith will play a half-elf wizard who lacks self-confidence but is funny and lovable.

More than 40 million people have played Dungeons and Dragons since the game’s debut 46 years ago, and these days there are fans who will watch other people play D&D live via Twitch and YouTube streams. I’ve never been a D&D boy myself but I know my boy Joe manganiello He loves it, so I hope Daley and Goldstein are booking him a role in this movie. They could surely use a man with an imposing physique, and I don’t mean the photo above!

Rodriguez and Smith have high-profile sequels on the horizon between F9 Y Jurassic World: Dominion, although they also have smaller projects on the way. Smith stars alongside Sydney sweeney Y Ben hardy in the indie thriller The voyeurs, while Rodriguez will soon be seen in the indie film Crisis, who co-stars Armie hammer. If you haven’t seen the trailer for that movie curiosity, here it is, but if you’d rather avoid Hammer like the rest of Hollywood, check out the latest trailer for F9.
