Sandra Bullock goes on ‘Bullet Train’ with Brad Pitt, all the other actors

From the director of ‘John Wick’ and ‘Deadpool 2’.

Sandra Bullock in Miss Congeniality

From Brad Pitt to Lady Gaga, an eclectic roster of stars are punching their tickets to board Bullet train, an upcoming action thriller with a title as badass as it could ever be made, directed by David leitch (John wick, Deadpool 2). And now, one of Hollywood’s brightest stars joins the, um, train car … of bullets …

Deadline reports Sandra Bullock will join the film in an as-yet unspecified role, marking, in a way, the first time she and Pitt have worked together (though they share a universe full of heists, with Pitt playing Rusty, George Clooneyright hand in Ocean’s 1113 and Bullock playing Debbie Ocean, Clooney’s sister, in Ocean’s 8). I sincerely hope that Bullock and Pitt have a male lead / female lead type relationship, something akin to her and Keanu reeves in Speed, because that would be a beautiful old fashioned Hollywood action theater shake that I would love.

We’ll see what Leitch and screenwriter Zak Olkewicz (Turn off the lights), adapting Kotaro isakathe novel Maria beetle, they have reserved for their cast, which also includes Joey king (The kissing booth), Aaron Taylor Johnson (Beginning), Brian Tyree Henry (jester), Zazie beetz (um, so jester), Michael Shannon (Knives out), Logan Lerman (Fury), Masi Oka (The Meg) Y Andrew Koji (Snake Eyes: GI Joe Origins). The plot involves a, well, bullet train full of assassins who begin to realize that their contracts are connected in a nefarious conspiracy that I’m sure will involve a lot of shooting and hitting. And thinking of Bullock as a rival assassin to Pitt is as classic a Hollywood story as I can think of, if that is, indeed, what he’s playing.
