Let’s get up close and personal with the Joker from Snyder Cut.

As we get closer to HBO Max’s premiere of Zack Snyder’s Justice League, a new look at Jared Leto‘s Joker has been revealed. We first learned that Leto’s version of the Clown Prince of Crime would jump from David Ayerit is Suicide squad to Snyder’s League of Justice cut at the end of 2020. Then in January, we first saw the Snyder Cut rendition of Leto’s Joker. Well, I say “first look”, but technically it was the first darkened look at Leto. The photo shared by Snyder showed us an out of focus Joker holding the Joker’s player card, with hints that the DC villain now has long hair and possibly a new wardrobe.

On Tuesday, Vanity fair shared new photos of Leto’s Joker, courtesy of Snyder. Snyder confirmed to Vanity Fair that he will make good use of Joker in his League of Justice he cut off, saying to the middle, “The Joker is really the only thing I thought about in hindsight. But I will say that it was always my intention to bring the Joker into that world.”

These two photos give us a very clear view of Leto and show what kind of villain we are having this time. As shown in the first photo, Leto’s Joker has longer hair now and it is not as polished as his. Suicide squad interpretation. In fact, this Joker is seen more at home in a meatpacking plant or hospital than in a nightclub, with ominous stains on his clothes and a menacing look on his face. Vanity Fair also notes that Leto’s Snyder Cut Joker will appear wearing a bulletproof vest with all the battered badges of law enforcement officials he has removed, something Snyder refers to as the Joker’s “trophies.”

Vanity Fair Also Reveals How Exactly Joker Will Feature In Snyder’s Plot League of Justice – a major spoiler that I won’t reveal here in case you’re interested in watching Snyder’s R-rated four-hour movie with little to no knowledge of what’s been changed. But the Vanity Fair report makes it clear that Snyder has been thinking about incorporating Joker into Batman’s side of his vision for the DCEU for some time. As such, you can count on Leto’s bow to be so unique that only Snyder could have dreamed of.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League premieres on HBO Max on March 18. See the second new image of Leto’s Joker below. For more information, find out what’s coming to HBO and HBO Max in February.
