‘Fantastic Beasts 3’ director David Yates still plans to return for the final two sequels

As the plan has always been, Fantastic beasts 3 Director David Yates plans to direct all five entries in the franchise, according to star Katherine Waterston. Thanks to his experience with the original series of Harry Potter movies, Yates is well versed in the wizarding world, and although the Harry Potter franchise brought in a variety of different filmmakers for each installment, Yates hopes to be the only one to guide the Fantastic Animals franchise.

“I think it is meant to direct them all. I think it is very interesting. He has worked very closely with [franchise creator] JK Rowling for a long time and very few people have access to it because it’s quite isolated and frankly I can’t imagine how it could work otherwise. “

Yates clearly loves working in the world of Harry Potter, having led people like Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and both Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows parts one and two. While the two Fantastic Animals have so far received a mixed response (particularly the 2018 sequel Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald), David yates He clearly has a vision for Newt Scamander’s continuing adventures, and it will be interesting to see how well he can pull it off without the inclusion of other directors.

Thus, it appears that JK Rowling’s decision to stay “isolated” will lead to Yates directing all five films in the series, ending with Fantastic Beasts 4 Y Fantastic Beasts 5. While Waterson, who plays the female lead Porpentina “Tina” Goldstein in the Fantastic Animals series, points out how adept Yates is in the wizarding world and making blockbuster movies, was quick to note that she wasn’t all that well prepared for what she was getting involved with.

“I really didn’t know what I was getting into to be honest,” Waterston admitted. “I didn’t realize how different a franchise is from a movie, you know? The commitment, the length of the shoot, the length of the press tours, how much of your year it asks of you. And I think the things that help me to get over it and they really root me on set when you try to tell the story, it feels the same, thank goodness. Because if that wasn’t the case, I think I’d feel completely out of place in that kind of environment because it’s a machine. But ultimately, fortunately, the work remains the same, that is, can you connect with this person in this quiet moment?

Production in Fantastic beasts 3 was recently halted, and Warner Bros. was forced to pause filming for the upcoming Wizarding World sequel after a crew member tested positive for COVID-19. Filming has been underway in the UK and according to the new health and safety regulations now in place, production is likely to need to be interrupted for at least two weeks. The positive test result was discovered as part of routine safety protocols, and the crew member is now in isolation.

While the details of the plot for Fantastic beasts 3 remains under wraps, is said to be a “preparation for World War II”, and will include a major role for muggle star Dan Fogler, Jacob Kowalski. “I have a lot to do on this one, and I’m very excited,” Fogler revealed last year. He went on to reveal that there are plans to do several more sequels before they are finished. “Everything is getting ready for – knock on wood – we can do five movies here.”

Fantastic beasts 3 stars Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, Jude Law as Dumbledore, Mads Mikkelsen as Gellert Grindelwald, Ezra Miller as Credence, Alison Sudol as Queenie Goldstein, Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski and Katherine Waterston like Tina Goldstein. Harry Potter creator JK Rowling is writing the script alongside Steve Kloves, with director David Yates leading the way. It’s unknown if this delay will cause the film’s release date to be delayed, so for now, Fantastic beasts 3 is slated to hit theaters on July 15, 2022. This comes to us courtesy of Collider.
