In March, the much-touted Snyder Cut from the 2017 film will finally be released via HBO Max. However, thanks to the additional funding, he was able to do a few new takes, allowing him to add Jared Leto’s Clown Prince of Crime to the project.
Debut director David Ayer Suicide squad, there was a l0t of anticipation for Leto’s Joker. Aside from the fact that the actor has been known to fully immerse himself in a role, the villain-centric marketing of the film had him front and center. Unfortunately, her role in the movie turns out to be nothing more than a glorified cameo. Given the change in the course of the DCEU since then, it was unclear if Leto’s DC villain will continue to appear on screen. That is until the news broke that he is going to be at Snyder’s. League of Justice.

Talking with Vanity fair In light of the recent release of the images of Leto as Joker in the HBO Max effort, Snyder offered additional information on what to expect from his participation in the narrative. The filmmaker reveals that the villain will interact with Batman during the Knightmare sequence in League of Justice where he discusses the Caped Crusader. This will work as a backstory as to why Bruce had his nemesis card on his weapon in Batman v superman.
“The nice thing about the scene is that it’s Joker talking directly to Batman about Batman. It’s Joker analyzing Batman on who he is and what he is. That’s what I also felt the fans deserved from the DC Universe. I mean, Jared Leto’s Joker and Ben Affleck’s Batman, never really got together. I didn’t think it was great that we managed to get to the end of this incarnation of Batman and Joker without seeing them come together.

The Knightmare sequence is shaping up to be one of the most fascinating in League of Justice. Based on Snyder’s comments, it has the potential to be a compelling interaction between Batman and the Joker, offering an interesting analysis of the Caped Crusader. Also, it will be nice to get some extra clarity on the aforementioned Easter egg several years later. Batman v superman released. Also, the Joker was never part of the original. League of Justice story that was conceived, so this is a highly anticipated new addition to Snyder’s version. It’s clear he was adamant about bringing the Affleck and Leto character iterations together, so hopefully the scene lives up to its promise on paper.
Since it is not known what will come after HBO Max League of Justice, this could well be the last time this version of Batman and the Joker would be on screen. Warner Bros. now has different versions of the DC characters in Robert Pattinson’s Bat of Gotham, due to debut soon, via the independent version of Matt Reeves. bat Man and the Clown Prince of Crime by Joaquin Phoenix. Assuming this is the case, it will be interesting if the project leaves both characters.
