Psyonix and Ford are partnering for a crossover that will bring the Ford F-150 to the Rocket League in a limited-time package later this month.

Developer Psyonix and Ford have partnered to bring Rocket league players a limited-time Ford F-150 bundle that will be available later this month. As many players have realized, Rocket league it’s no stranger to crossovers that seem completely out of place.

In a limited-time event that ran during the first week of February, for example, Rocket league and the NFL celebrated Super Bowl LV with new cosmetics, challenges, and an exciting game mode appropriately titled Gridiron. Crossovers of the past have also seen the high-octane sports title with content from artists like Ghostbusters, Strange things, and even Jurassic Park. Rocket league Wide-ranging popularity seems like the perfect marketing tool for many brands, so perhaps the next big crossover shouldn’t be a huge surprise.

From February 20 to February 28, Rocket leagueit is Item Shop will feature the Ford F-150 RLE package. The bundle, which costs 1,500 credits, features a customizable F-150 Rocket League Edition pickup, along with loads of cargo including: President’s Decal, Ford F-150 RLE and SE Wheels, Ford F-150 RLE Boost, Ford F-150 RLE Engine Audio and an F-150 player banner. As licensed items, players will only have the option to equip the bundle extras to the F-150; in turn, the Ford truck will only be customizable with its respective elements. Ford has also agreed to sponsor Rocket league esports events for upcoming RLCS X Winter Majors.

This batch of crossover content marks the first time Rocket league has received a real truck in the game. Typically, larger vehicles of the dummy variety make the cut. It should be interesting to see how the truck will perform on the pitch and whether or not it will provide real benefits to users once the package arrives at the end of the month.

Interestingly, fans have been asking Psyonix to bring a real-world truck into the game for quite some time. However, it is not one that belongs to any of the usual suspects. Unlike a Chevy Silverado, Dodge Ram, or Ford F-150, gamers once requested the Cybertruck DLC from Pysonix and Elon Musk. Although Musk is an avid gamer who seems to keep up with industry developments, it doesn’t seem like this particular content is coming. Rocket league release anytime soon.
