The Witcher season 2 could kill a major Blood of Elves character

A new report suggests Netflix’s Season 2 of The Witcher may kill a major character in a massive diversion from the events of Blood of Elves.

According to a new report, Netflix season 2 The Wizard can deviate from Andrzej Sapkowski Elven blood in a significant way: a main character is about to be killed.

Redanian intelligence It was recently reported that one of the scenes filmed at the Hodge Close Quarry in the UK in October apparently featured a scene similar to a funeral for the witcher Eskel, whose corpse was eaten by wolves shot. Series stars Henry Cavill and Paul Bullion were also in attendance, playing Geralt de Rivia and Lambert, respectively.

The circumstances that led to the disappearance of the member of the School of the Wolf are currently unknown. It has been speculated that Eskel’s death may be related to a battle scene filmed on the set of Kaer Morhen, possibly involving a Leshen, which reportedly would have dire consequences.

Eskel was originally played by actor Thue Ersted Rasmussen. However, after the series production was delayed due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Rasmussen was unable to complete filming and was eventually replaced by actor Basil Eidenbenz.

Season 2 of the Netflix series will adapt the characters and events of Elven blood, which introduced the School of the Wolf and its mountain fortress of Kaer Morhen, where Geralt took Ciri to train under the guidance of his mentor Vesemir and his fellow warlocks, Eskel, Lambert, and Coën. It is worth noting that all the characters survive in the novels and the funeral customs involving wolves are not given. Eskel’s death is one of several deviations from the original material, after changes in characters like Francesca Findabair, who will appear pregnant in the series; and Queen Meve, who will evidently be portrayed as significantly younger than her counterpart in the novel.

The film is believed to be released before the season 2 premiere. Additionally, the streaming giant is producing a spinoff series, The Witcher: Blood Origin, set more than a thousand years before the events of the series.

The Wizard stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengerberg, Freya Allan as Ciri, and Joey Batey as Dandelion. Season 1 is now available on Netflix.
