Rhys Ifans, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best and Sonoya Mizuno have joined the cast of House of the Dragon, the spin-off of HBO’s Game of Thrones.
Upcoming from HBO game of Thrones cleave Dragon House has added four new names to its cast.
Rhys Ifans will play Otto Hightower, Steve Toussaint will play Lord Corlys Velaryon, Eve Best will play Princess Rhaenys Velaryon, and Sonoya Mizuno will play Mysari.
The official character descriptions are below:
- Otto Hightower: The Hand of the King, Ser Otto serves with loyalty and fidelity to both his king and his kingdom. As the Hand sees it, the greatest threat to the kingdom is the king’s brother, Daemon, and his position as heir to the throne.
- Lord Corlys Velaryon: The Lord of House Velaryon comes from a Valyrian bloodline as old as House Targaryen. As “The Sea Snake,” the most famous nautical adventurer in Westeros history, Lord Corlys built his home on a mighty seat that is even richer than the Lannisters and that claims the largest navy in the world. Danny Sapani was previously in talks for the role.
- Princess Rhaenys Velaryon: Dragon Rider and wife of Lord Corlys Velaryon, “The Queen Who Never Was” was overlooked as heir to the throne in the Grand Council because the kingdom favored her cousin, Viserys, simply because she was male.
- Mysari: She came to Westeros with nothing and has been sold more times than she remembers. She might have been weakened … but instead she became the most trusted and unlikely ally of Prince Daemon Targaryen, the heir to the throne.
