Darth Maul actor Ray Park may have brought the iconic characters back to the screen. There are some obvious complications about the current fate of the character in the Star Wars universe, but there have been quite a few rumors about a possible return in the next Obi-Wan Kenobi The Disney + series, which is set to begin filming in Los Angeles. Darth Maul is a fan favorite character who was last seen on Solo: A Star Wars Story.
While Darth Maul is dead in most of the timelines of the recently announced Star Wars live action projects, could possibly be alive during the Obi-Wan Kenobi timeline of the series. Ray park posted a picture of his Darth Maul prosthetic head makeup chair, with a caption that reads, “Meet me in Dathomir! SITH LIFE!” He also tagged the location as Tatooine, which has many Star Wars Fans are wondering if the villain will return to hunt down Obi-Wan. That said, Park also used a Single hashtag, which is likely when this particular image was taken.
Ray Park has not been shy about his desire to return as Darth Maul throughout the years. His return in Solo raised hopes for more appearances, but the film fell short of Lucasfilm’s box office expectations. In a 2018 interview, Park said, “If something happens in the future and the character is back, and is it me? I have a lot of great ideas of what I’d like to do with him.” Since the possibility of a Single sequel flopped, fans have now looked towards it Obi-Wan Kenobi series for more Darth Maul.
A recent Star Wars The fan theory has been floating around, which sees Darth Maul returning in the Obi-Wan Kenobi Serie. The theory posits that Darth Vader will be on the hunt for Kenobi, leading him to Maul. From there, Maul will learn that Kenobi is possibly alive, leading him on a hunt of his own after the Empire destroys Crimson Dawn. As to whether this theory turns out to be true or not is unclear at this point, but it is a theory that has been gaining more momentum in recent weeks.
It takes a lot of things to happen, but it would be quite surprising for Star Wars fans to see Darth Vader and Darth Maul face to face on a live-action stage. Obviously, there are a few things on the timeline that will need to be worked out for this theory to work, but like The mandalorian shows that Lucasfilm is not afraid to give fans what they want. We’ll have to wait and see if Ray Park lands back in the makeup chair when the Obi-Wan Kenobi production begins this spring. You can take a look Ray Parker’s official mockery on Instagram above.
