The Avengers are dressing in a way like never before in the new miniseries Avengers: Mech Strike, where the team has to fight a mysterious biomechanical monster that drenches in power and grows bigger and more dangerous as it absorbs more.

As a result, Tony Stark and T’Challa have worked together to create something that could equalize the odds. The result is eight giant robot suits custom made for individual Avengers that work in tandem with their powers and one of the largest Iron Man suits ever made.

Immediately, this seems somewhat similar to Stark’s previous creations, such as his Hulkbuster armor, or even more similar to the armor he created to fight powerhouses like the Hulk and Thor many years ago. Stark created the Hulkbuster armor to have something powerful enough to stop a rampaging Hulk, who appeared in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Similarly, Stark created a Thorbuster to defeat Thor if necessary, and used Asgardian magic to empower him, creating the suit from a gift Thor gave him from Asgard. Like the Hulkbuster, it wasn’t enough to help Iron Man beat Thor, but it was a good idea at the time.

But in the face of these overwhelming creatures, the Avengers plan to wear the armor when they head into battle with the newly discovered biomechanoids. The armors are made of vibranium, which is capable of protecting users from the abilities of giant energy-depleting creatures. Introducing his new toys, Stark gave the eight team members a glove that allows them to control their designated armor.

According to Stark, these are the Biomechanoid Response Units, and each one is customized to interact with the individual power sets of each team member. Stark says he designed the robots “centuries ago” to help plan for doomsday threats, and he designed one for Spider-Man, Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Captain Marvel, Black Widow, and Black Panther. .

These new armor might look more like Iron Man’s Thor armor than the Hulkbuster, reinforcing the team’s armor rather than simply protecting them. Hulk’s biomechanoid probably owns most of the group’s power. Iron Man’s armor could harness his lightning power along with great strength. Captain America’s armor comes with a shield. Spider-Man’s biomechanoid is smaller but seems more agile. Black Widow’s biomechanoid has the wrist canons for her stinger blasts, while Black Panther has the claws and possibly the ability to absorb energy and fire it in a massive defensive attack. Since the armor is based on the individual powers of heroes, it is unknown how powerful Captain Marvel’s armor could be. These new armor are clearly a step up from the Hulkbuster on all levels and could be the most powerful armor Tony Stark has ever created.
