King in Black turns Marvel’s healthiest hero into a symbiote monster


The King in Black has just turned Marvel’s healthiest hero, Ms. Marvel, into his own monster coming after Miles Morales.

Warning! Spoilers for Miles Morales: Spider-Man # 23 down.

The healthiest hero of Marvel Comics, Mrs. Marvel has become a pawn for him King in black. In new advancements for the next Miles Morales: Spider-Man # 23, Kamala Khan has gone from being a wide-eyed superhero that readers know and love to a complete monster, and one of her closest allies will try to save her: Miles Morales’ Spider-Man.

Kamala Khan was first introduced in Captain marvel # 14 and was co-created by Sana Amanat, Stephen Wacker, G. Willow Wilson, Adrian Alphona and Jamie McKelvie. The Pakistani American teenager was a superfan of the Avengers (particularly Carol Danvers) before Terrigen Mist unlocked her inhuman powers. Kamala can transform and stretch her body into different shapes and sizes. Khan has often been portrayed as a healthier character who is delighted to fight alongside the heroes he once idolized. However, in the recent King in Black link, Ms. Marvel was turned into a symbiote monster.

In Miles Morales: Spider-Man # 23 by Saladin Ahmed, Carmen Carnero, David Curiel, VC’s Cory Petit, Spider-Man finds himself battling the dark forces of the God of Symbiotes. However, one of her closest friends, Ms. Marvel, was infected by the King in Black. In new previews (exclusive to CBR.com), Miles is shocked to discover that Ms. Marvel has turned into a full-blown monster, whose body-transforming powers are fully utilized by Knull.

The Knullified Ms. Marvel essentially turns into a mini-Kaiju, as she spins and shapes her body into deadly weapons, including massive spikes. It’s unlikely that Khan will ever become such a dangerous weapon, but with the King in Black’s influence, he’s really putting his body’s transforming powers to full capacity. All Miles can do is dodge the attacks and hope he can convince Kamala not to kill him. She soon realizes that Knull is in control of her mind, to which she replies, “All of her is ours. Mine. She is nothing more than a daughter of The Hive.”

Miles is not ready to stop trying to help Kamala Khan as he tells her that she is his friend and that he will take her out of the control of the King in Black.

Marvel’s healthiest hero turned into a dangerous and terrifying monster shows how easily Knull can infect the greatest heroes on Earth. He turned an Avenger into his own personal weapon.
