Posted in The CW Youtube The channel, the teaser for Season 3, Episode 5, begins with Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) telling Salvatore School Principal Alaric Saltzman (Matt Davis), “You promised me that you would do whatever it took to get Landon back.” .
The next scene shows Alaric handing Hope an antique-looking box and explaining, “Whatever it takes, right? Go ahead and make your wish.” Hope proceeds to open the therapy box, which lights up as she says, “Ready, Player One.”

The official synopsis for Season 3 Episode 5, titled “Here’s What It Takes,” reads:
After one of their own goes missing, Alaric suggests to Hope that she head to the therapy box, which pushes her into a twisted game set in a summer camp slasher movie; Lizzie’s attempt to spend time with MG doesn’t go as planned.
LegaciesThe latest episode, “Hold on Tight”, found Hope’s now-mortal boyfriend, Landon Kirby, coming face to face with his biological father Malivore. At one point during Episode 4, Landon stepped on a pentagram that was drawn on a classroom floor in blood. Then Malivore appeared on the staff, prompting Landon to reply, “Hey, Daddy.” A large part of Episode 4’s plot also revolved around the love triangle involving the vampire MG and the witches Lizzie Saltzman and Alyssa Chang. While MG initially decided not to have a relationship or friendship with Alyssa, a verbal altercation between him and Lizzie later in the episode resulted in MG attempting to rescue Alyssa from the Necromancer.
It was recently revealed that a new witch will be joining the Super Squad sometime this year. Omono Okojie (NCIS, Gook) is ready to join the cast as a witch named Cleo. Cleo’s character description reads: “Free-spirited and self-sufficient Cleo is excited to find a new home at the school and to earn a spot in their Super Squad.”
