The Hunger Games franchise releases new behind-the-scenes photos that show moments between the characters and the actors who played them.
New behind-the-scenes photos of The Hunger Games The franchise was launched today by the franchise’s official Twitter account. The Hunger Games The film franchise, based on Suzanne Collins’ best-selling dystopian novel trilogy of the same name, began with The Hunger Games in 2012 and ended with Mockingjay – Part 2 in 2015.
The action-packed drama took the world by storm when it first debuted, breaking or competing many box office records at the time. Although at first glance it’s an action-romance story about a teenage girl, Katniss Everdeen, who sacrifices herself to save her sister while navigating evil versus good and love along the way, ends up being a story about responsibility, revolution, and endurance. It drew real parallels to contemporary society by depicting a corrupt government that oppresses its citizens to maintain a hierarchy of wealth and status, using a tournament where children fight to the death as entertainment for the rich. The franchise catapulted already familiar faces, like Jennifer Lawrence, who had already been nominated for an Oscar for her performance in Winter’s Bone“To the superstardom.” The franchise gave birth to a total of four films, dividing the final novel, Mockingjay in two parts.

In celebration of World Cinema Day, the official The Hunger Games franchise The Twitter account surprised fans with new behind-the-scenes images of the franchise almost six years after the premiere of the latest installment. All featured Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss, though some also featured Josh Hutcherson as Peeta, Sam Claflin as Finnick Odair, and Lenny Kravitz as Cinna.
One of the most talked about aspects of the franchise was the love triangle between Katniss, Gale, her best friend from home, and Peeta, her partner for the Games. Peeta and Katniss’ relationship was complex, both played to gain more support from the watching audience and it evolved in real time as the two were each other’s only true ally at the Games. Fans who went #TeamPeeta can revel in the never-before-seen photos, particularly one that shows Lawrence and Hutcherson lounging together in stylish outfits from the second film. On fire.
A prequel book to the series, The ballad of songbirds and snakes, was published by Collins in May of last year. It was also announced last year that Collins would partner with Lionsgate to produce a film adaptation of the The Hunger Games prequel, keeping the world of Panem and the districts firmly in the sights of viewers. The force of The Hunger Games The fandom, even now, has not waned, shown by the loving reaction to BTS’s new photos. Fan fervor for the world of Panem spells great things for plans for a future sequel, though there is already some criticism about how it humanizes the villains of the original series. However, fans will have to wait and see for themselves what is in store for Panem’s past and the future of the film franchise.
