The synopsis for the season 7 premiere of The flash has been revealed, and confirms the return of Nash Wells. Nash Wells, the geologist and explorer, played by Tom Cavanagh, showed up in season 6. Wells appeared on Earth-1 in search of the substance called “eternium” and ran into his fair share of trouble along the way.

Wells eventually finds the Eternium in the sewers of Central City, but is trapped beneath the city before being rescued by Ralphy Dibny. He then accepts the help of Team Flash and also tells them that he knows how to reverse Barry’s fate that will come with the approaching Crisis. Later, Wells accidentally unleashes the Anti-Monitor and as a result becomes an Outcast forced to watch the Anti-Monitor destroy the multiverse in “Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Three”.
