The Boys’ Jack Quaid shared a behind-the-scenes photo from the set of Season 2 to celebrate the first day of filming for Mardi Grad and Season 3.
In celebration of BoysOn the first day of filming for season 3 and Mardi Gras, actor Jack Quaid shared a photo from season 2 of the set full of beads and bruises.
Quaid (Hughie) posted the photo from the set on Twitter with the caption, “Did someone say Mardi Gras?!?!” He also tagged the show’s Twitter, which replied, “Hughie’s ready for a drink.”
Sony Pictures Television, one of Critics’ Choice’s Super Award winning show producers, jokingly added to the Twitter thread: “Hughie loses any shred of holiday spirit even AFTER being thrown into a party tent, no, It does not happen”.

Quaid’s photo is apparently a snapshot of a monitor on set during season 2. The image shows Hughie crashing into a variety of costumes, leaving him draped in Mardi Gras boas and beads, which is a scene straight out of Boys Season 2, episode 2.
During the episode, “Proper Preparation and Planning,” Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) finds her long-lost brother Supe, Kenji (Abraham Lim), in a costume shop. Butcher (Karl Urban) tries to shoot him moments after seeing the alleged super-terrorist. Although Hughie tries to dissuade Butcher from shooting Kimiko’s brother, Butcher tries anyway. Hughie pushes the gun in time, but a bullet ricochets off a glass counter. Kenji, alarmed by the sudden shots, uses his telekinesis to throw the children onto the clothes racks.
Showrunner Eric Kripke recently shared his excitement for the season 3 production starting on Twitter. On January 31, Kripke posted a picture of himself wearing a mask at the airport with the caption: “On the way to Toronto to film [Season 3]. I am smiling under this. Everything is happening. “
Currently, there is no confirmed release date for BoysSeason 3. However, Seasons 1 and 2 were previously released ten months after their filming ended. Since filming for season 3 is known to have started in February and will end in August, the newer season is likely to premiere on Amazon Prime sometime in late 2022, pending any delay from COVID-19.
