Christopher Reeve heroically restores Zack Snyder’s Justice League in a new video made by a fan. The clip features footage of Reeve as the Man of Steel from the seminal 1978 superhero movie, Superman, with Supes going through what many audiences did in 2017 with League of Justice and changes made by substitute director Joss Whedon.
Deciding to take a joyous trip to his local movie theater, Christopher Reeve’s Superman is infuriated by Henry Cavill’s infamous digital removal of the mustache for a segment that takes place at the beginning of the film and is forced to take matters into his own hands. Launching into the atmosphere, Reeve uses an old trick from his first outing as the Last Son of Krypton, flying around and around Earth to undo the tragedy of the theatrical cut of League of Justice. Having succeeded in his quest to correct these terrible mistakes, the world now looks instead at Cavill’s iteration of the DC icon, now wearing the fan-favorite black suit.
The brilliant clip ends with a message that we can all stand behind by saying, “It may not be any better … but at least Superman’s face isn’t screwed up.” Love that.
Christopher reeve He first donned the red, blue, and yellow suit as the Man of Steel in director Richard Donner’s 1978 hit comic book movie Superman. The film has been a huge influence on the genre ever since, with Reeve embodying the character in a way that has not been equaled since. First Superman spawned several sequels, and while 1980 Superman ii proved to be a worthy follow-up, both Superman iii Y Superman IV: The Quest for Peace they were of seriously diminished quality. Still, despite not coming out on top, Chrisitopher Reeve’s legacy as the DC icon remains untouchable, thanks to both his exemplary on-screen work and inspiring real-life struggles.
Regarding Henry Cavill’s version Superman, will return in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, which is expected to follow a similar plot to what audiences saw in theaters in 2017, but with some substantial changes along the way. Picking up after the events of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Bruce Wayne is determined to make sure Superman’s ultimate sacrifice was not in vain. Joining forces with Diana Prince, the pair plan to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an imminent threat of catastrophic proportions. The task is more difficult than either of them could have imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own past to transcend what has held them back, allowing them to unite and ultimately form a league of heroes without precedents.
