The film is co-starring Rebecca Ferguson and Thandie Newton.
Warner Bros. continues to solidify its 2021 lineup by announcing that the new Hugh jackman suspense novel Reminiscence It will hit theaters and HBO Max on September 3. Here is the official synopsis:
Nick Bannister (Hugh Jackman), a private investigator of the mind, navigates the dark and seductive world of the past helping his clients access lost memories. Living off Miami’s sunken shoreline, his life changes forever when he acquires a new client, Mae (Rebecca Ferguson). A simple matter of lost and found becomes a dangerous obsession. As Bannister struggles to find the truth about Mae’s disappearance, he uncovers a violent conspiracy and ultimately must answer the question: how far would you go to hold onto your loved ones?

If a mystery of the mind sounds familiar, maybe it’s because the movie comes from Westworld co-creator Lisa joy, who wrote and directed the film. Obviously Joy and her partner / husband Jonathan Nolan (serving as the film’s producer) are fascinated with the concepts of identity related to psychology, and I’m curious to see what kind of twist he puts on this film. I’m also interested in how Joy’s narrative is transferred to a function rather than a serialized narrative.
Jackman posted a short sneak peek of the film on his Instagram and Twitter, which you can see below.
