Spider-Man composer Danny Elfman confirmed that he is creating the score for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness by director Sam Raimi.

The next Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will mark something of a Spiderman reunion, with Danny Elfman confirming that he is composing the soundtrack for the Marvel Studios film directed by Sam Raimi.

“I’m starting to do some preliminary work to Doctor Strange 2 that Sam Raimi is directing, “Elfman said in a recent interview with Reverse. “Although I don’t start it for a few months, there are bits of recorded music that they need for sets.”

Raimi and Elfman first worked together on the 1990 film Dark man, although possibly their most famous collaboration came when Elfman composed the music for the first two Spiderman films, which were released in 2002 and 2004, respectively. Although Elfman did not return to compose 2007’s Spider man 3, collaborated with Raimi once again on the latter’s 2013 film Oz the great and powerful. Elfman has composed the music for countless films throughout his career and, in addition to Raimi, frequently collaborates with director Tim Burton, having composed bat Man, Batman Returns, Eduardo scissorhands Y Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, among others.

The 2016 sequel Strange doctor, Madness multiverse It is currently scheduled for release next March. Strange doctor director Scott Derrickson originally signed on to direct the sequel. Ultimately, he walked away from work, although he remained linked as an executive producer. Following Derrickson’s departure, Raimi, known in the world of comic book adaptations for his trilogy of Spiderman films – was selected to direct Madness multiverse, putting him at the forefront of a movie starring a Marvel character created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko once again.

Directed by Sam Raimi, Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Xochitl Gomez. The film is currently scheduled to hit theaters on March 25, 2022.
