WandaVision Episode 7, “Breaking the Fourth Wall,” has a post-credits scene. Here’s what happens and what it means for the future of the show.
Warning: SPOILERS ahead for WandaVision Episode 7, “Breaking the Fourth Wall”.
In true MCU fashion, WandaVision Episode 7 has a post-credits scene, in which Monica Rambeau meets Pietro Maximoff, also known as Quicksilver, while snooping at Agnes’ house, who is revealed to be Agatha Harkness. While WandaVision It has had some very long end credits, so far it has avoided having a post-credits scene like the one that Marvel Studios movies make famous. Like much of the show, however, everything changes at the end of episode 7.
In WandaVision Episode 7, Scarlet Witch’s new reality begins to fail more than ever, with things spinning more and more out of her control, until it is confirmed, at last, that she was never in control to begin with. Agnes finally comes out of the shadows, confirming the long-standing (albeit seemingly debunked) theory that she is actually the witch known as Agatha Harkness, and has been manipulating things from the beginning. The end of the episode finds Wanda trapped in a basement with Agatha, but that’s not all.

In WandaVision In the post-credits scene of episode 7, Monica Rambeau, who is now fully turned on after going through the hex for the third time (by choice only now), is on the trail of Wanda and Agnes / Agatha, and is about to You find your way to the witch’s basement, which glows purple as a sign of her power. However, Quicksilver catches her, who until this point had been completely absent from “Breaking the Fourth Wall”, when she appears to surprise Monica and say: “Snooper is going to snoop!” Agatha Harkness, in the recap of all the events behind her, is confirmed to be the one who brought Quicksilver to Westview, and it is clear that he is still under her control now, working for her to prevent people like Monica from infiltrating her. property. .
Since Monica is trying to help Wanda, this would set up a fascinating fight for the next episode: Monica, imbued with her Spectrum powers (and even a nodding costume outfit), alongside Scarlet Witch against Agatha and Pietro. It may still happen, but it’s also interesting that Monica’s eyes appear a different color WandaVision post-credits scene from episode 7. When lit earlier, they glowed blue; right now when she opens the entrance to go down to the basement, they are a darker purple, matching the same color as Agatha Harkness’s magic, seen in the vines on the staircase Monica is looking at. This suggests that simply by being exposed, Monica may already have fallen under Agatha’s magic spell and be controlled by her. Quicksilver’s eyes don’t shine, but that’s presumably part of Agatha’s magic, as walking with black eyes would be something of a gift.
If Monica is indeed under Agatha Harkness’s control, then the odds are against Wanda and Vision, leaving the latter, along with Darcy, unless still caught in the lights, as the only hope for defeating Agatha. and save Wanda, Billy, Tommy. (if the twins can still be saved, that is, since it’s unclear what happened to them), and the rest of the Westview residents. The vines hint that Agatha may be feeding off Westview, with the powers of Hex and Scarlet Witch imbibing hers, which means she’ll be an incredibly difficult obstacle to overcome in WandaVisionClosing fees.
Aside from the finer points of what the WandaVision episode 7 post-credits scene means to Monica, Quicksilver, Agatha, Wanda, etc., it’s also the biggest indicator yet of the change in the show’s narration. For the most part, WandaVision hasn’t operated anything like a typical MCU product, instead doing its thing in a sitcom bubble. That gradually changed as the show spent more time outside the hex with SWORD, but with the true villain of WandaVision now revealed and the veil lifted, then the traditional post-credits scene bringing the hammers back home that this can now be quite a spectacular MCU, setting WandaVisionThe last two episodes will be bigger than anything else.
