In the Young Rock series premiere, A Trip to the Year 2032 offers a glimpse into the fun future film career of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

The NBC sitcom Young rock It begins in the year 2032, when superstar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson moves from acting to the presidential campaign. Considered too big of a star to connect with the people of the country, Johnson agrees to sit down for an elaborate interview by Randall Park. The purpose of this interview is to shed light on Johnson’s formative years, from his childhood in 1982 and his teens in 1987 to his time as a college football player in 1991.

The series reveals a lot about the actor’s past, but the segments set in 2032 also bring surprise reveals about things that haven’t happened yet. I mean, part of Johnson’s future film career is revealed, and it’s pretty funny.
Johnson is one of the biggest movie stars in the world and has a long career with certifiable successes to prove it. The prolific actor stars in multiple franchises, and it seems like he will never stop. It’s this ambition and Johnson’s never-ending drive to take on new roles that is the source of a hilarious joke in the series premiere of Young rock.
During his 2032 interview with Park, Johnson makes a passing comment on the movies he has recently starred in, including a fifth Jumanji movie, as well as a Kiss biopic where the actor played Gene Simmons.
The Rock is making fun of himself. The joke works because it shows that you are aware of how many movies you star in and how many franchises you head. Other Jumanji starring Johnson is in development, which means a fifth installment isn’t all that impossible. However, a Kiss The biopic with the actor in one of the lead roles is extremely implausible, but that’s what makes the joke so funny.
In the first season of Young rock progresses, viewers are sure to learn even more about The Rock’s potential future career. Will be Black adam will be a great success that will lead Johnson to face the League of Justice? Will the actor ever join the Marvel Cinematic Universe? There are many possibilities, and each one could reveal a fun future for the actor.
