The Bachelor Season 25 favorite Rachael Kirkconnell shared a picture with Emmanuel Acho’s book “Awkward Conversations with a Black Man,” indicating that she is trying to educate herself more on race relations following her recent controversy. From Matt James’s season of The Bachelor At first, the Bachelor Nation has been talking about the fact that Rachael was seen attending and taking pictures at a racist party with the theme of the “Old South”. Given that this particular event took place in 2018, fans were concerned that Rachael was not far enough removed from that experience to be dating Matt James in 2021.

Now, Rachael Kirkconnell shared an image via Instagram Stories with a great book discovered by The Bachelor fans. And yet fans in Reddit They were able to identify the orange, gray, and black striped book that was on the table in front of Rachael. The book in question is “Uncomfortable Conversations with a Negro” by Emmanuel Acho. According to its synopsis, the book “It takes on all the questions, big and small, insensitive and taboo, that many white Americans are afraid to ask, but for which all Americans need answers, now more than ever.” Has over three thousand five-star reviews on Amazon.

In the original Reddit thread, many Single Fans are happy that Rachael appears to be following through on her promise to be more polite and to listen to those who might have been affected by her actions. On the flip side, many people within the Bachelor Nation are also pointing out that fans shouldn’t rush to defend her just because she conveniently placed this book in the background of a photo she posted on Instagram. All things considered, this simple gesture seems like a step in the right direction, but it won’t by itself make up for all the controversies she’s been involved in lately.

Hopefully, Rachael’s publication will boost sales of Emmanuel Acho’s book and inspire other white people to educate themselves on their own racial biases. But the general consensus is that this is too early for the Bachelor Nation to forgive Rachael for her mistakes.
