WandaVision Star Paul Bettany gave an ironic explanation of how his presence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe changed from that of a disembodied voice to the form of the Avengers sytozoid, The Vision.

Bettany went on to explain: “Initially, I was given a job where I had to speak into a microphone for about two hours and then everyone was completely satisfied with me and gave me a big bag of cash! And I think that [Robert Downey Jr.] I was pissed off by that arrangement and it forced them to use me in movies and make me appear on set. I’m not sure how it happened, but I think that’s the story. “

Bettany’s voice appeared in Iron Man like JARVIS, the artificial intelligence system invented by Tony Stark of Downey.
