The new heroes and hero skins for Overwatch 2 were shown at BlizzCon 2021 over the weekend. Here’s what fans should know about each of them.
As fans wait for more news about Overwatch 2 and its release date, new hero designs (and a new character) were shown during BlizzCon 2021. The event, which was rebranded as BlizzConline this year and took place completely virtual, featured a Overwatch 2 showcase that gave fans a fresh look at the upcoming sequel. Here are all the new characters and hero skins announced for the game so far.
Before BlizzCon 2021, several heroes from the original game were already showing off in their new Overwatch 2 appearance. Characters like Lucio, Reinhardt, Winston, Genji, Tracer, and Mei have been redesigned since the sequel was announced in 2019. The look at Overwatch 2 At BlizzCon 2021 it showcased four new skins for some of the fan-favorite heroes. These heroes are McCree, Reaper, Pharah, and Midowmaker. As with previous design reveals, the changes to these characters are generally just color palette changes and refined appearance, rather than extreme design changes. Still, it was nice to see what some of the returning heroes will look like in Overwatch 2.
Overwatch 2 new heroes and rumors explained
The only new hero to be shown at BlizzCon 2021 was Sojourn, a character that had already been revealed and confirmed. However, the search for Sojourn Overwatch 2 it looks noticeably different from the way it initially appeared. His new look looks a bit less robotic than previous designs, and there are some splashes of red (and a maple leaf on his armor) to show off his Canadian heritage.
Blizzard has confirmed that other new heroes will arrive Overwatch 2, although it is not yet clear who these characters are. Previous rumors have pointed to a fox-like character named Yokai being added to Overwatch 2, or possibly even as a DLC character for the current Supervision. So far, however, only Sojourn is being shown, so fans will have to wait until a later date to see what other new heroes are coming for. Overwatch 2.

Sojourn may be the only new hero confirmed so far, but characters like McCree, Reaper, Widowmaker, and Pharah are also getting a new look.
