Ethan Hawke said Oscar Isaac’s involvement was the main reason he decided to join the upcoming Marvel Studios / Disney + television series Moon Knight.
Ethan Hawke recently credited Oscar Isaac for helping him decide to join Marvel Studios / Disney +. Moon knight T.V. series.
“Well that’s where I am as an actor. A lot of it, to be honest, I love the fact that Moon knight it’s a lesser known story and allows for more creative freedom, “said Hawke. The ringer. “The director is Mohamed Diab and he’s a brilliant guy. I’ve seen a couple of his movies and I wanted to work with him anyway. I had a meeting with him about another project of his.”
Hawke added that Isaac’s involvement in the project, however, is what really sealed the deal for him. He then proceeded to praise the Star Wars star of the sequel trilogy.
“I like what he’s doing with his life,” Hawke said. “It reminds me of the actors, when I first came to New York, whom I looked up to. Oscar is younger than me and I like the way he behaves and the way he thinks.” The actor added: “And in general, good things happen when you are in the room with people you like because of the way they think, right?”
Additionally, Hawke admitted that he likes to join projects that relate to the time period in which he lives, noting: “I’m trying to live in my time. And I’m trying to do a good job … I’m given. In the world of art, in the world of creativity … You are going to make good decisions, you are going to make bad decisions, “he continued. “But the only thing you are definitely in control of is the thought that you put into what you are doing.”
While Marvel Studios hasn’t officially announced Isaac as part of Moon knight cast, the show’s cinematographer Gregory Middleton recently confirmed his involvement on social media. Specifically, when one of Middleton’s followers asked if Isaac was confirmed, he replied, “He is, that’s why I included that headline. 🙂 I can’t give any details, of course.”
Hawke was previously confirmed to play an unknown villain in the Moon knight series and Framework actor May Calamawy was also cast in an unspecified role.
Directed by Mohamed Diab, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead and written by Jeremy Slater, Moon knight does not have a release date yet. The series will debut on Disney +.
