“I am quite proud of that opening montage where we get to go through the mythology of Superman, from baby Kal-El arriving in the capsule to young Clark with Martha and Jonathan, and through him meeting Lois. Everything. That felt good. It felt like it was appropriate. It felt like [got to] have fun with that mythology and then get on the show, “Krieger said.

He added: “But looking at the blockage in Donner’s film is, dare I say, like seeing some of Billy Wilder’s work. His blockage, especially in the Daily planet with Perry White and Clark and Lois and the oners [long takes] they are very well distributed, and they are not what you would expect from a movie like that. “

Superman and Lois stars Tyler Hoechlin, Elizabeth Tulloch, Dylan Walsh, Alex Garfin, Jordan Elsass, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Inde Navarrette, and Wolé Parks. The series premieres Tuesday, February 23 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
