The second episode of The Equalizer reboot sees Robyn remove Jeffrey Epstein’s version of the show, but it also jeopardizes his vigilante crusade.
WARNING: The following contains spoilers for The Equalizer season 1 episode 2, “Glory”.
With Robyn (Queen Latifah) officially posting her ad on the dark web to help people, the Equalizer your inbox is awash with requests. Some are fake, some are not serious, but one particular case catches the attention of his team, which sees a boy, Jackson, disappear.
His mother, Aliya, sends him a message because he needs a vigilante to carry out a sinister heist, and while this causes Robyn to remove Jeffrey Epstein’s version of the show, it also jeopardizes his entire crusade.

European thugs have kidnapped Jackson, ordering Aliya to open the safe of her employer, an FBI agent named Sadler, while she is babysitting. They need the content inside and Robyn agrees to use her hacker, Harry, to open it. They extract the files and realize that the villains want Sadler’s informant because that person is leaking information about their sex trafficking ring.
Robyn’s team tracks down the leader as Michel, a playboy who has infiltrated America’s political and entertainment world, offering men in power young women to be his slaves. And make no mistake, this guy is no joke, with Robyn even comparing him to the show’s version of “Jeffrey Epstein.” Eventually, she realizes that Michel’s girlfriend Nikola is the mole, but the problem is, after shooting some of Michel’s boys to save other people, Robyn is exposed to Sadler and the FBI.
Still, he keeps going, and at the exchange point, Robyn hands over the file, painting Michel’s partner, Lazeric, as the mole. Her mercenaries are attacked by Michel and a mass shooting ensues, but luckily, Robyn is able to lead her team to safety in the middle of the conflict. He then has his sniper Mel drop off Jackson, his mother, and Nikola at Sadler’s so they can break through the ring, including a mole at Sadler’s camp.
But as much as this may sound like a happy ending, Sadler has footage of Robyn and is working with Detective Dante. Dante has been following her after the premiere, and while Sadler doesn’t mind a vigilante personally, Dante won’t accept any of it. She wants her brought in, and as much as Sadler backs the mysterious woman caught on camera and verified by multiple witnesses, the FBI won’t like Robyn wandering around either. Since she’s ex-CIA, he has unnecessary eyes on her, which is sure to derail her stealth mission.
Starring Queen Latifah, Tory Kittles, Liza Lapira, Adam Goldberg, Laya DeLeon Hayes, Lorraine Toussaint, and Chris Noth, The Equalizer airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET / PT on CBS.
