Tom holland, everyone’s favorite spoiler-happy Marvel star, is currently hard at work on the 2019 untitled follow-up Spider-Man: Far From Home. But while he’s been filming the long-awaited sequel, he’s been tuning in every week to see WandaVision like any other MCU fan. And just like any other MCU fan, he can’t wait to see how it ends.

In a recent interview with Collider’s Steve Weintraub during press day for his upcoming drama. Cherry, that meets him again with Avengers Endgame directors Jose Y Anthony Russo, Holland revealed that the Disney + limited series is currently his favorite installment in the MCU:

“I’m obsessed with ‘WandaVision’. It’s very difficult because obviously I’m on a Marvel set right now. So all the producers are there, and I could just walk up to Kevin Feige and say, ‘So what’s up? going?’ It’s really hard for me not to ask the questions that I want answers to, but I love it. And I think it’s honestly for me, my favorite Marvel thing I’ve ever seen, because it really makes you think ‘What am I watching? What’s going to happen? Where are they going to lead this? I love that they brought back the idea of releasing one episode a week. I think it takes the caliber and quality of the show to improve because you need to keep people engaged over a longer period of time. So I love it. I love it. ”

I fully agree with Holland that I would also need to physically restrict myself from asking Kevin Feige how the show ends. WandaVision it’s unique among MCU properties in that, for the first time in several years, we don’t really know where the MCU is going. There are obvious advantages to publicly mapping all of his films several years in advance, but admittedly it was difficult to invest in the MCU filler as Avengers: Age of Ultron when I already knew it was going to be a relatively inconsequential stepping stone for everyone fighting Thanos. WandaVision brings back much of the early MCU excitement, with fans eagerly scrutinizing each episode for potential clues and sharing theories about which characters might appear and how the show will eventually connect with the next phase of the Marvel movies. Plus, its alternate reality sitcom universe has been a lot of fun to experience each week, easily making it the most interesting MCU property in years. Check back for the full interview with Holland. Cherry hits theaters on February 26 and Apple TV + on March 12.
