Job postings on developer Dambuster Studios’ website show that Dead island 2 Production recently shifted its focus to the PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X platforms | S. Originally announced in 2014, the sequel had long been in development for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. However, the latest generation of consoles came and went without the first-person zombie title hitting the shelves of the stores.
Aside from a cinematic trailer and leaked unfinished build, very little of it has been shown. Dead island 2 prolonged production. This is largely due to the development hell it has endured, which has seen the sequel go from developer to developer multiple times. Although the creator of the first entry, Techland, was once linked to the project, the team chose to focus on Dying light, leaving Dead Island two in the hands capable of Spec Ops: The Line Yager Development study. Yager toiled in Dead Island for three years, but eventually parted ways with Deep Silver publishing house. Thus, Sumo Digital, the group behind Team Sonic Racing, became the new IP administrator before leaving the project approximately three years later. Now Homefront: The Revolution’s Dambuster Studios is in charge, and it looks like the follow-up is undergoing another change of status.
