Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales sales surged in the UK thanks to a surge in PlayStation 5 shares.
According to GamesIndustry.biz, the increase in PS5 stocks led to a 64% increase in sales of boxed PS5 games in the UK, with physical copies of Spider-Man: Miles Morales in particular, seeing a whopping 172% increase week over week. Marvel’s game previously peaked at number seven on the UK’s best-selling boxed games list, and this influx of purchases sent it up to number two.
Had Miles Morales sold an additional 1,000 units, it would have taken the number one spot, which is currently held by Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury. Despite seeing a 38% week-over-week drop in sales, the Nintendo Switch title still enjoyed its third consecutive week at the top of the list.
