Disney Live Action Pinocchio remake has added some new faces to its cast.
Benjamin Evan Ainsworth will play the eponymous puppet turned royal, while Joseph Gordon-Levitt will play Jiminy Cricket, Cynthia Erivo will play the blue fairy, Keegan-Michael Key will play Honest John and Lorraine Bracco will play Sofia the Seagull, an original character. created for the remake.
These new cast members join previously announced Tom Hanks, who plays Geppetto, and Luke Evans, who plays the coachman who transports Pinocchio and other young children to Pleasure Island.
In December 2020, during the Disney Investor Day presentation, it was announced that Pinocchio it would forgo a traditional theatrical release and instead premiere on Disney +.
