Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway has advanced its theatrical release as a possible sign that Sony Pictures is confident that theaters will fully reopen soon.
Peter Rabbit will return for his second big-screen adventure earlier than expected, as Sony Pictures moves the release date of Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway up a month.
Instead of debuting on June 11, Peter Rabbit 2: The Fugitive will hit theaters on May 14. The first film, Peter rabbit, opened in 2018 and went on to raise $ 351 million worldwide. The franchise is based on the characters and tales of Peter rabbit by Beatrix Potter.
This is one of several changes made to the release date of the Peter rabbit continuation. Its original April 2020 date was pushed back to August 7 due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Later, Sony made several changes to its release schedule, including moving Peter Rabbit 2 off its April 2 date to June 11, which is when Sony plans to release Ghostbusters: Another Life.
