The six chapter titles of Zack Snyder’s Justice League have been revealed. After a disappointing theatrical cut in 2017 and years of fans campaigning for the Snyder Cut to be finished and released, WarnerMedia and HBO Max announced plans to release Snyder’s version of the film. After doing some quick new takes that added Jared Leto’s Joker to the Knightmare sequence, the director has been working to complete a new cut of League of Justice which will be drastically different from what the audience saw before.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League The changes are many, but they go beyond how Snyder is restoring his original story and those character arcs. Snyder has been given complete creative control over the project after giving up on getting paid for his additional work. The result will be a four-hour cut with an R rating of League of Justice It keeps the aspect ratio somewhat unique that appears in marketing. The official Twitter account of Zack Snyder’s Justice League shared all six chapter titles recently. As Snyder previously revealed, the first two parts are titled “Don’t Count On It, Batman” and “Age of Heroes.” The new chapter titles show that part three is entitled “Beloved Mother, Beloved Son”, part four is entitled “Machine of Change”, part five is entitled “All the King’s Horses” and part six is entitled “Something darker.”
With all six chapter titles now revealed for Zack Snyder’s Justice League, fans will start looking for levels of meaning within each one. The titles should provide a good guide to what will happen during each chapter from a narrative perspective. The first part will focus on Batman trying to put together the Justice League for the first time, and the main team should be together at the end of “Age of Heroes.” The title of the third chapter could be a reference to the Mother Boxes and the planning of Superman’s return. The machine referenced in the title of chapter four should be about the Kryptonian ship that brings Superman back to life. Lastly, chapter five should be when the whole team is together, while chapter six will include the showdown and the suspense ending that Snyder confirmed.
These chapter titles could be beneficial to the way people view Zack Snyder’s Justice League. The film’s four-hour runtime will inevitably leave some viewers wanting a place to pause for a break of some sort. Instead of audiences guessing where the best place to stop is, Snyder has built in a few checkpoints for those who don’t have the time or energy to spend four hours straight on a movie. But anyone who’s eager to consume the movie in one go can do so and enjoy the chapter breaks anyway.
