Black Adam producer Hiram Garcia provided an update for when filming begins on Dwayne Johnson’s antihero movie.
Filming on Dwayne Johnson Black adam is scheduled to begin this April, according to producer Hiram García.
“We will start soon, in fact, we start filming in April, we will be in Georgia, like home away from home,” Garcia said. ComicBook.com. “We are really excited, we have everything improved, we are so excited about this.”
Garcia also spoke about how passionate he and Johnson were about doing Black adam a reality. “This is very special to us, and you know, not just Black Adam, but JSA, and all these characters that we’re introducing to the world and, what we want to do with him, we’re just … Look, we were supposed to be filming last year. COVID, as if delaying everyone, got in the way a bit, but we’re happy to be able to take a break, regroup and now we’re going to get going, and in April we’ll be filming and on our way to take this home. “

Garcia served as a producer on many of Johnson’s films, including Fast & Furious Gifts: Hobbs & Shaw and the next Jungle cruise. Black adam has been in various stages of development since it was announced that Johnson would play the antihero in 2014. During the DC FanDome event in 2020, Johnson revealed more details about the film, including Adam’s showdown with the Justice Society of America.
Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, Black adam stars Dwayne Johnson, Noah Centineo, Aldis Hodge, Quintessa Swindell, Marwan Kenzari, and Sarah Shahi. The film has yet to receive a release date.
