What WandaVision comes to a close, fans can be sure that there are still plenty of future MCU projects to fill the void. While the theatrical releases are still unclear, Marvel is fully embracing the Disney + platform as a way to tell new stories within the cinematic universe.
WandaVision has shown the kinds of exciting stories that will be told in these shows, as well as how they relate to the overall MCU. Each individual Disney + show offers an exciting new way to add to the universe and connect with the movies at the same time. It could completely change the way the MCU looks in the future.
10 WandaVision: opening the multiverse
Part of the joy of WandaVision he’s been watching a character like Wanda Maximoff, who was a supporting character in a lot of the movies, suddenly become the most complex MCU hero yet. As the series draws to a close, it suggests that there could be a lot more to explore with the Scarlet Witch.
Elizabeth Olsen has already been confirmed to appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Insanity which will pick up right where the program stopped and end up linking to Spider-Man: No Way Home. Given what Wanda has been able to do on the show, it seems likely that she is the one who opens the multiverse.
9 The Falcon and the Winter Soldier: Lightning
Like in WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier He promises to allow two fellow heroes to become the center of attention as they attempt to carry on Captain America’s legacy. However, Sam and Bucky won’t be the only returning characters, as Zemo will make his return after his debut in Captain America: Civil War.
Zemo is a very prominent character in the comics and ends up leading a league of supervillains known as The Thunderbolts posing as superheroes. With the return of Zemo, the formation of the Thunderbolts seems more likely than ever.
8 Loki: the return of Loki in Thor: love and thunder
Even though Thanos promised no more resurrections when he killed Loki, it seems the God of Mischief still had a few tricks up his sleeve. Thanks to the Avengers time travel antics in Avengers Endgame, Loki from another timeline managed to grab the Tesseract and escape into the cosmos.
While that Loki is an alternate version of the one who died, the fact that he has the Space Stone means he could practically go anywhere. The show’s trailer appears to tease that Heimdall and Thor are in the series, which could see Loki return once more from the dead in Thor: love and thunder.
7 Hawkeye: The Beginning of Young Avengers
It seems like Phase 4 of the MCU is setting up the new generation of Marvel heroes. While Hawkeye He feels like he will serve as a goodbye to Clint Barton in the MCU, it also looks like he’s setting up his replacement to be a big part of the MCU going forward.
Kate Bishop will be portrayed by Hailee Steinfeld in Hawkeye and has already been confirmed to appear in other MCU projects. With such a huge star attached to the role, he feels like the perfect character to serve as the leader of the Young Avengers and jump-start the new team.
6 Ms. Marvel: Carol Danvers Returns to Earth
Kamala Kahn might be a relatively new character in the comics, but it didn’t take long for her to establish herself as a fan favorite. It will be great to see the character make her live-action debut on her own Disney + series, but that won’t be the last time fans will see Ms. Marvel.
Kamala has been confirmed to join Captain Marvel 2 next to WandaVisionMonica Rambeau. While Carol Danvers is apparently in space, as she has been for years, the fact that Kamala and Monica are Earth characters suggests that Carol might eventually return to Earth and even appear in the Mrs. Marvel Show.
5 She-Hulk: The MCU Daredevil
One of the most interesting shows on the horizon is She Hulk, which is described as a half hour legal comedy. While it’s hard to imagine what a show like that will look like within the MCU, the unique setting allows for the possibility of some interesting cameos.
As Kevin Feige teased that She-Hulk, aka Jennifer Walters, would be dealing with superhero court cases, many fans immediately thought of another Marvel hero who works as a lawyer: Daredevil. Whether or not Charlie Cox returns in the role, this is a character the MCU is sure to want and this show seems like the perfect way to introduce him.
4 Armor Wars: The Aftermath of Tony’s Death
Another amazing project that was recently announced was Armor wars which will feature James ‘Rhodey’ Rhodes, aka War Machine, in the title role. The show will explore Tony Stark’s greatest nightmare that will come true when his technology falls into the wrong hands.
Tony Stark’s death was a huge moment in the MCU and this show has a chance to really explore the impact of that loss. A figure as important as the one who suddenly disappeared from the world leaves a void and it would be interesting to see the consequences of that.
3 Ironheart: Tony Stark’s connection to Riri Williams
Iron Man’s legacy will continue to be explored in the coming Iron heart series that will feature the character of Riri Williams, a young woman who builds her own armor and becomes a heroine. In the comics, Tony was Riri’s mentor, but the show might find an interesting way to recreate that backstory.
Fans can remember in Civil warTony visited MIT and announced that he would fund all the projects in development. In the comics, young Riri Williams attended MIT when she was just a teenager. It would be great if Tony inadvertently helped bring Riri’s project to life.
two Secret Invasion: Introducing The Fantastic Four
Nick Fury will finally have a chance to be the center of attention with the next series. Secret invasion. The show will follow the popular comic book story in which a rebel group of shapeshifting Skrulls infiltrates the earth.
There are indications that Fury is currently involved with SWORD and its missions in outer space. The main enemies of the Skrulls in the comics are also known to be the Fantastic Four. Perhaps there is a way the series could lead to, or even feature, Marvel’s “first family.”
1 Moon Knight: Introducing Blade
Moon Knight is one of the most exciting new heroes to join the MCU, especially since he will be played by Oscar Isaac. But the character also opens up a more supernatural and dark side to the MCU that could pave the way for some interesting characters.
The series feels like the perfect way to bring a character like Blade into the MCU and it would be great to see these two heroes team up later on.
