TLC’s teen parenting reality series drama, Unexpected, it just gets bigger and bigger. Season 3 introduced fans to perhaps the most dramatic of all stories – the story of Matthew Blevins and the two Haileys. Her fans, and even her co-stars, weren’t prepared for the shock of Matthew and Hailey “2” Tilford announcing her pregnancy in season three. Tell everyone. Now, viewers are wondering what the father of two boys has been up to since Unexpected universe.
Thinking back to past villain dads on the show, there has always been another side to the young man’s coin. Diego Reyes, for example, knew he was portrayed as a stubborn mule who didn’t care about Emiley Noack, his feelings, or his son. But in the Tell everyone, he cried and showed his softer side, showing that he was just a young man who struggled to do his best and made mistakes along the way. But Matthew, on the other hand, spent season three cheating on his pregnant girlfriend, Hailey Tomlinson, disrespecting Hailey and her mother and ignoring their daughter, Kinsley. So in the Tell everyone, took to the stage and immediately showed the presenter, Ananda Lewis, the most disrespectful viewers he had ever seen.

Considering his terrible reputation and behavior, it’s no wonder that Matthew eventually broke off his relationship with Hailey 2 and denied being the father of her unborn child. Hailey 2 later gave birth to a boy named Levi. After seven months, she was still fighting to get Matthew involved in the baby’s life. During that time, Hailey was dating and living with her new boyfriend, Cole. She did a question and answer session on Instagram and talked about her plans to have a baby with Cole. She also took the opportunity to explain why she hadn’t taken Matthew to court for child support. Apparently, she doesn’t “wants you to have some kind of rights over a child that you don’t claim. [She didn’t] I want him to be able to come and go whenever he wants.“
Since then, Matthew changed his mind and claimed Levi as his own. Interestingly, this change of mind coincided with Hailey 2’s breakup with Cole. It also coincided with rumors that Matthew and Hailey were meeting or potentially establishing a friends-with-benefits situation. Matthew and Hailey deny that the two have any relationship outside of joint parenting. Beyond his mommy baby drama, little is known about Matthew’s current life. He does not have an active social media presence, so many of the updates on him come from the mothers of his children. Although he is working in a co-parenting relationship with Hailey 2, he does not appear to have a strong relationship with his first child, Kinsley.
While Matthew insists that he and Hailey 2 are just parents, it’s hard to take his word for it. He stated flatly that he and Hailey would not return to Unexpected for the fourth season. But alas, Matthew returned. However, Hailey was not allowed to return after racist comments surfaced on her Instagram account. Hailey claims her account was compromised and denies flagging the egregious comments. Matthew, on the other hand, continues to broadcast his drama on screen.
