Season 5 of Fortnite introduced NPCs that can be hired to protect the player, and this is where players can find all eight rentable characters.
Week 15 of Fortnite Season 5 offers players many basic epic challenges that focus on the basic mechanics introduced at the beginning of the season. One of the challenges in the new set of seven requires players to hire an NPC as their bodyguard. This effectively adds that NPC to your team to fight alongside them, but not every NPC can be a hired weapon. Players will need to locate specific NPCs who are willing to get their hands dirty.
There are seven new challenges that players can complete Fortnite Season 5 week 15, none of which require players to fight or even damage enemy players. In fact, there is only one challenge this week that requires players to interact with other players in any capacity. Players will also receive a pass this week for pesky challenges that require them to visit multiple locations to collect hidden items. Instead of, Fortnite Week 15 has players interacting with friendly NPCs to earn a ton of experience points.
Where to hire an NPC in Fortnite season 5
The biggest problem with this task is finding an NPC that can be hired as a bodyguard. There are dozens of NPCs around the map, each offering unique perks or items, and the same goes for those who can be hired as bodyguards. Of the 42 NPCs on the map, eight of them can be hired. Their approximate locations have been marked on the map above, but finding them is only half the battle. Players will have to collect and spend 100 gold bars to hire any of the NPCs, but these can be collected by searching chests, gold bullion safes, destroying furniture, or eliminating enemy players.
Once players have enough gold bars, it’s all about choosing the right NPC. All a player needs to do to complete the challenge is hire a single NPC, but some NPCs are a bit more accessible, making them a target for many players. One of the safest NPCs to recruit is Mancake, who can be found inside the Butter Barn. There is a lot of loot in this location, and players will be protected on all sides as Mancake is inside a building. Drop in here, collect the loot, and hire Mancake before someone arrives to quickly earn a ton of XP.
