Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0 three times once, the fourth and last film by Hideaki Anno Reconstruction of Evangelion series, is topping the Japanese box office in its first week in theaters, earning ¥ 3.3 billion (about $ 30.6 million) from 2.2 million tickets across 466 theaters since its release on March 8.

About $ 3.4 million of the film’s first week gross revenue came from 38 IMAX theaters.
