Marvel Studios continues to tease Sam Wilson’s path as the MCU’s next Captain America in a new television commercial for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Sam Wilson delivers an inspirational speech at a newly released The Falcon and the Winter Soldier puzzle. Marvel Studios Phase 4 is in full swing again after WandaVision ended two weeks ago. This time around, the story centers on Sam and Bucky as they navigate their lives after returning five years after the Thanos problem.
Taking place after the events of Avengers Endgame, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Assemble Steve Rogers’ closest allies as they face off against a series of adversaries, some new to the government-appointed new Captain America, John Walker, and the mysterious new group, Flag-Smashers. Meanwhile, Zemo from Captain America: Civil War it’s back too, and seemingly more sinister than ever. The show promises a deep dive into the mantle of Captain America and Steve’s legacy. This is the plot that ties into Sam’s arc in the series, as he finally takes his rightful place as the next Star-Spangled Avenger after initially resigning.
Marvel studios has launched a new spot for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and features Sam delivering an inspiring message. Check out the clip below:
The teaser also features a new narration from Zemo, who maintains his anti-hero stance in the MCU. It is uncertain what motivates him this time considering that his Civil war Arco was tied to his quest for revenge for the death of his family in Avengers: Age of Ultron. It is not known what he has been doing for the last few years and if he also disappeared from the Thanos problem; In any case, he appears to be more devious than ever in his next appearance in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Meanwhile, another interesting take from the clip is a tease of a funeral scene, though it’s unclear who it is for.
While Sam resists taking up the mantle of Captain America in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier And even though he’s not physically enhanced like Steve, hearing him deliver this speech shows how he’ll ultimately be the best candidate to become the MCU’s next Star-Spangled Avenger. True, there were some questions as to why he was chosen for the job as the MCU progresses to Phase 4, but Steve actually explains the reason behind his decision. Sam is a good man through and through, and that’s Captain America’s main defining quality. Bucky may be more physically equipped to carry out assigned missions and John Walker may have the backing of the government, but Sam has such a strong moral compass that Steve is assured that at the end of the day, he will always do the right thing.
