Birdteam is featured in the new trailer for Birdgirl, a Harvey Birdman spinoff series that will premiere on Adult Swim on April 4.
A new trailer for the upcoming Adult Swim series Birdgirl highlights the Birdteam. A spin-off of Harvey Birdman, attorney, which aired from 2000 to 2007, Birdgirl centers on the main character Judy Ken Sebben (voiced by Paget Brewster) as she takes on the responsibility of inheriting her father’s company. That could be seen as a huge promotion if it weren’t for the fact that the company itself relies on projects like running children’s hospitals for profit.
A first look at Birdgirl sheds light on the kind of comedy fans can expect from the series. Now, a new trailer is broadening its lens by introducing viewers to Judy’s bird team. That includes instantly distinctive characters like Meredith the Mindtaker, The Feels, Strongarm, and the lovable Birdcat. The preview also shows how Judy sets out to handle corporate life after her father’s apparent death. You can check it, from IGN, below.
Along with Brewster, the voice cast of Birdgirl includes Rob Delaney, Kether Donohue, John Doman, Sonia Denis, Negin Farsad, Tony Hale, and Lorelei Ramirez. The series is produced by Erik Ritcher, who was the co-creator of Harvey Birdman, attorney. She will serve in the position alongside Christina Miller.
That kind of continuity, along with the fact that Brewster is re-voicing the title character, is a good sign that the spin-off aims to continue down the path that made the original series a cult favorite. However, since the spin-off was first announced in May 2019, fans won’t have to wait much longer to see how it all plays out. Birdgirl will make its Adult Swim premiere on April 4.
