Lionsgate will release the action thriller on April 30.
Truly the man who can do both, Anthony Hopkins shows he can be an Oscar-winning actor and achieve melodramatic action thrillers in the first Lionsgate trailer for The virtuous. Acting as a suitably enigmatic mentor to Mount ansonHitman, Hopkins sends our protagonist on a cryptic mission in which he must correctly identify his target. Co-written and directed by Nick Stagliano, this neo-noir action movie also stars Abbie Cornish, Eddie marsan, David morse, Richard Brake Y Diora baird.
With only a mysterious name, Mount heads to a small town to discover his goal, haunted by a deadly mistake in his past. The trailer introduces all the characters shrouded in suspicion, including the classic tropes of the corrupt sheriff and the alluring Woman Fatal. The virtuous It also makes us question even the protagonist, whose own intentions seem unclear and unreliable. Naturally, Hopkins is the man who pulls the strings and possibly (or probably) manipulates Mount and the public. Plus, Hopkins is once again in the headlines as he is now the oldest Best Actor nominee, included in the category this year for his powerful role as an elderly man suffering from dementia.
