WWE announces that both Kane and The Great Khali will be inducted into the combined 2020 and 2021 WWE Hall of Fame class.
With Wwe in the middle of Wrestlemania season, ads fly fast and furious. That includes new names for the WWE Hall of Fame, a side event that takes place nearly every year around the highest pay-per-view in wrestling. This year’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony is shaping up to be one of the most significant in history thanks to announcements from Kane and The Great Khali joining the 2021 roster.
The Undertaker appeared in The bump to give his old friend and brother Kayfabe Kane the good news, while WWE released the report on The Great Khali via social media on the same day. These two join a Hall of Fame class of 2021 that already includes Molly Holly, a fan-favorite former women’s champion, and Eric Bischoff, who made WCW a real competition for WWE at the end of the decade. 1990.
In addition to the new members from 2021, the members from 2020 will also join the event, as the ceremony did not take place last year due to the pandemic. Japanese legend Jushin “Thunder” Liger, former champion John Bradshaw Layfield and the late British Bulldog will be included. Additionally, Bella Twins and nWo will be joining the Hall of Fame as groups.
The wrestler-turned-actor Batista was supposed to be part of the 2020 event, but he declined the honor in 2021 as he and WWE reportedly agreed to delay his induction until a full crowd could attend to enjoy the moment. This year’s ceremony will take place on Tuesday, April 6 before NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver Y Wrestlemania 37 on Peacock and WWE Network.
Wrestlemania It will take place on Saturday, April 10 and Sunday, April 11 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay and will be broadcast live exclusively on Peacock in the United States and on WWE Network everywhere.
