A fan edition of the Justice League Snyder Cut places Hal Jordan, Ryan Reynolds’ Green Lantern, in the final scene of the film with Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne.

A fan edition of Zack Snyder’s Justice League adds Ryan Reynolds’ Green Lantern at the end. Snyder’s movie premiered on HBO Max on March 18 after a years-long campaign for its release. So far, many have praised the film for its fuller character arcs, particularly Ray Fisher’s Cyborg. Despite the success of the League of Justice Snyder Cut, there are no plans for sequels at this time. Instead, WarnerMedia and DC are eager to focus on their future projects from other creators and are thinking about Zack Snyder’s Justice League as the definitive conclusion of the SnyderVerse.

One of the most talked about aspects of the Snyder Cut is the inclusion of two different Green Lanterns. One, Yalan Gur, appears in the history lesson scene, as in the League of Justice Theatrical court. The other, Kilowog, is seen in the Knightmare timeline. However, once the Snyder Cut was announced, many expected Reynolds’ Green Lantern Hal Jordan to appear in the film. That didn’t happen, although Snyder has revealed that he had plans for Reynolds’ Green Lantern at one point.

Although some may be disappointed that Reynolds’ character did not appear in the League of Justice Snyder Cut, a recent edition of Live Breathe Media offers the next best option. The video imagines Hal introducing himself to Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne at the end of the movie. Makes it impressively easy to imagine a team between the two. Check out the edit below:

The video works surprisingly well, seamlessly integrating Reynolds’ Green Lantern into the original scene. These kinds of wish fulfillment edits have become more common in recent times. As technology has evolved, it has allowed fans to put their own spin on their favorite movies and TV shows, adding characters and dialogue as they see fit. It’s an orderly way for audiences to show their love for a medium and, in essence, make it their own.

This particular edition seems destined to increase support for Reynolds to reprise his role as Green Lantern in a future DC Extended Universe project. Despite the poor reception Green Lantern received when it launched in 2011, Reynolds has remained a good athlete about it. He often made fun of the movie himself and even recently re-watched it in honor of Zack Snyder’s Justice League. There may not be any current plans for Reynolds to return as Hal Jordan, but it seems likely that many will continue to look forward to him regardless.
