According to an official press release, developer and publisher miHoYo has confirmed that their open world RPG Genshin Impact will be available on PS5. The game was initially released for PS4 in September and is currently playable on PS5 via backward compatibility, but the next-gen remake will feature “improved visuals and game performance.”

Genshin Impact is an open world game that allows players to take on the role of a character known as the “Traveler” whose journey through history revolves around the fate of his lost brother as they navigate the world of Teyvat. Through the press release, “Currently, players can explore both Mondstadt and Liyue Harbor, two of Teyvat’s seven main cities, each with unique surrounding cultures, histories and vast surrounding landscapes, offering a diversity of creatures. , monsters, secrets and hidden treasures for players to discover. As the game progresses, more cities, stories, characters and seasonal events will be released. ”
