A new trailer for Loki dropped this morning, and many Marvel fans are speculating what to expect. One of the biggest revelations and takeaways from the latest images in this Disney + Marvel series is that the God of Mischief appears to resurrect Black Widow. But the more intuitive fans think this is all a ruse, and who we’re really looking at is Lady Loki.
At first glance, it seems obvious that we are looking at the rear of Black widow, who will return in his own independent film this summer in theaters and on Disney + Premier Access. But upon closer inspection, it becomes clear that who we are looking at is not Scarlett Johansson. So who could it be? The doppelgänger is suspected to be Lad Loki.
If you look at the new Loki trailer, you may want to pause the action around the 2:05 mark. There, you will see Loki talking to someone who appears to be Natasha Romanoff. The pair clearly appear to be in Vormir. This is the place where Black Widow sacrificed herself to retrieve the soul stone in Avengers Endgame. But true MCU fans were quick to deduce that, in fact, this was not Natasha at all.

Many Marvel fans have been waiting for Black Widow to return to the current MCU timeline after his death. The independent superhero movie takes place before the events of Avengers Endgame. Some speculated early on on that, because Loki is skipping time, the God of Mischief could bring Nat back to the current MCU.
But maybe that’s not happening yet. Sophia Di Martino is believed by many to be the actress seen in the pictures. Her casting has not been officially confirmed by Disney, but Deadline hinted that the actress will play Lady Loki. Sophia Di Martino does not appear head-on in the latest images. But the actress has short blonde hair like the doppelgänger from Black Widow in the trailer. At the time of her death, Natasha had long red hair.
Lady Loki is featured as the female version of the iconic Tom Hiddleston character in the Marvel comics. She is the product of Loki’s shapeshifting abilities, and the Asgardian originally took over a body intended for Lady Sif. It is speculated that Lady Loki is now her own character within the MCU. That has not been confirmed by anyone at Disney or Marvel Studios.
Many fans are hopeful that Black Widow will make his proper return to the current MCU timeline in Loki. Loki himself was killed by Thanos in Infinity Saga. But in Avengers Endgame, a second version of Loki managed to escape with Tesseract, and has managed to destroy reality, which he will have to fix in the new Disney + series. Loki premieres June 11 exclusively on Disney +
