Resident Evil Village will have performance modes and graphics on PS5


Resident Evil Village director Morimasa Sato announced that the title will feature performance modes and graphics on PlayStation 5.

During a recent interview, Resident Evil Village Director Morimasa Sato teased the performance and graphics modes that the horror title will feature. Playstation 5. Capcom is no stranger to offering players options on this front. As many fans already know, Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition it has multiple modes on the newest hardware from Sony and Microsoft.

One mode, for example, sees the title of the action running at 4K / 30fps with ray tracing on. A 60fps mode with ray tracing enabled drops the resolution to 1080p. 4K / 60fps is possible with ray tracing off; meanwhile, another performance mode enables the upgraded version of DMC5 to operate at a crisp 120 fps with ray tracing off. So far, Capcom hasn’t shared too many Resident Evil Village-Data related to this. However, it’s worth noting that the Maiden demo on PS5 features ray tracing. An AMD presentation from several weeks ago also showed RE Village’s ray tracing capabilities on PC.

In an interview for the April 2021 issue of Official PlayStation Magazine (via MP1st), director Morimasa Sato was asked if RE Village will feature performance modes and graphics similar to those available in DMC5: Special Edition. Sato did not disclose any details, but said “there are settings that will allow each player to optimize the experience according to their preferences. “The director also signaled the team’s intention to fully utilize the power of the PS5 to”create a realistic experience. “He added that in the past, developers struggled to simultaneously prioritize great visuals and performance – fortunately, PS5 significantly reduces annoyance. However, PS4 gamers shouldn’t feel left out, as RE Village it will work well in the last generation too, hinted Sato.

Capcom may share finer details on performance options and the like over the next week. resident Evil Showcase, which will premiere on April 15 at 3:00 p.m. PT. In particular, fans can look forward to the upcoming digital event featuring a new trailer, as well as never-before-seen gameplay footage from RE Village in action.
