Hasbro introduces a new line of GI Joe figures that provide evidence that the Snake Eyes: GI Joe Origins movie will feature cartoon costumes.
Hasbro has taken the first look at a new line of cartoon-accurate GI Joe toys inspired by the feature film Snake Eyes: GI Joe Origins.
The list of toys reported by Yahoo! find multiple variations of Snake Eyes (played by Henry Golding) along with other G.I. Joe characters like Storm Shadow, Baroness, Night Creeper, Scarlett, and Red Ninja. As for the titular ninja GI Joe, there are 6-inch snake eyes, 12-inch Ninja Strike snake eyes, snake eyes on a stealth cycle, and Ninja tech snake eyes on display.
Scheduled to go on sale August 1, the 6-inch Snake Eyes retails for $ 9.99; 12-inch Ninja Strike Snake Eyes with a cutting sword move is priced at $ 19.99; The Snake Eyes Stealth Cycle retails for $ 9.99 and can be attached to the 6-inch figure; and Ninja Tech Snake Eyes with a special waist action is $ 9.99. The rest of the Storm Shadow, Baroness, and Scarlett figures are also priced at $ 9.99 each. However, Night Creepers, Scarlett, and Red Ninjas won’t go on sale until November 1, after Snake Eyes: GI Joe Origins rescheduled their October release date.
Other children’s toys include a $ 19.99 special missions mask and a $ 19.99 Ninja Strike morning light in the shape of a Snake Eyes sword.
Directed by Robert Schwentke, Snake Eyes: GI Joe Origins stars Henry Golding as Snake Eyes, Andre Koji as Storm Shadow, Iko Uwais as Hard Master, Úrsula Corberó as Baroness, and Samara Weaving as Scarlett. The film hits theaters on October 22.
