Mortal Kombat Goes Big With BossLogic Epic IMAX Poster


BossLogic’s official IMAX poster for Mortal Kombat highlights the huge roster of fighters and asks fans if they’re siding with Scorpion or Sub-Zero.

A new IMAX poster for Mortal Kombat has debuted online, courtesy of its graphic artist BossLogic.

BossLogic showed the poster on its official Twitter account. It features the massive cast of characters from the movie and Scorpion’s infamous catchphrase “Come here!” The artist also asked fans whether they sided with the hell-spawned ninja or his cryogenic foe Sub-Zero, and the poster also emphasized a division between the two rivals.

The poster also features new looks at protagonist Cole Young and sorcerer Shang Tsung, as well as the first full look at masked mercenary Kabal. Cole sports mysterious golden armor and a pair of tonfa sticks, which he has been shown using in promotions against the four-armed Goro. It has been revealed that Kabal and half Tarkatan Mileena are working with Shang Tsung on promotions. Other combatants include Liu Kang and Sonya Blade alongside Jax Briggs and the god of thunder Raiden.

As BossLogic has gained prominence, it has created a series of blockbuster movie posters including Avengers Endgame and The new mutants. BossLogic has also created official art for the Mortal Kombat franchise before, as it illustrated an official poster for Spawn’s debut as a playable character in Mortal Kombat 11.

Directed by Simon McQuoid and produced by James Wan, Mortal Kombat starring Lewis Tan as Cole Young, Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Josh Lawson as Kano, Tadanobu Asano as Lord Raiden, Mehcad Brooks as Jackson “Jax” Bridges, Ludi Lin as Liu Kang, Chin Han as Shang Tsung, Joe Taslim as Bi Han and Sub-Zero, Hiroyuki Sanada as Hanzo Hasashi and Scorpion, Max Huang as Kung Lao, Sisi Stringer as Mileena, Matilda Kimber as Emily Young, and Laura Brent as Allison Young. The film hits theaters and at HBO Max on April 23.
