A new trailer for the remaining two episodes of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier shows the titular duo’s battle with John Walker.
WARNING: The following contains spoilers for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Episode 4, “Everybody’s Watching,” now airing on Disney +.
Marvel Studios released a trailer for the remaining two episodes of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which anticipates the next confrontation of the titular duo with an increasingly unhinged John Walker.
The trailer begins with footage from the first four episodes, including Sam Wilson handing over Captain America’s shield to the government and Bucky Barnes questioning him about his decision. The trailer also features new bits of footage, including Walker declaring he’s Captain America and taking on Sam and Bucky. “We don’t have to do this,” says Walker, to which Bucky responds, “Yes, we do.”
Another new piece of footage shows Sam talking to an invisible person about his determination to keep fighting. “We bleed for this country,” he says. “Shield or no shield, I won’t let anyone tell me I can’t fight for him.” He is also heard telling Walker, “We don’t want anyone else to get hurt.”
The last episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier It ended on a shocking cliffhanger, as Walker, who had recently taken the super soldier serum, brutally killed a member of the Flag Smashers with his shield. This will set the stage for their confrontation with the title duo and the fifth episode featuring a character cameo in Marvel Comics canon.
Created by Malcolm Spellman and directed by Kari Skogland, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp, Wyatt Russell, Erin Kellyman, Adepero Oduye, Florence Kasumba, and Daniel Brühl. New episodes debut Fridays on Disney +.
